What we care for
Education
Access to education should not be a privilege, it is a right to rise above any religion, caste or poverty. And despite this, 60 million children are unable to attend school, most of them girls. Providing education to children, no matter where they are from, is one of the biggest and true steps towards ending poverty can anyone take.
We Sabal Foundation focus on refining the conditions by which children can receive quality education, especially among girls in marginalised or less privileged communities. To do this, we work closely in rural, slums, semi rural and villages. Education is a major tool that enables girls and women to participate in and voice decisions that can affect their lives, which can certainly improve their social status in society. We are committed towards the provision of education and their rights and empowerment of girls from the most marginalised sections of society and to enable effective implementation of a strong and inclusive and gender sensitive environment.
Women Empowerment
All countries of the world are making rapid progress on advancing gender equality. But there is still no place in the world where women are equal to men. From health and education to labor and income, women and girls around the world face obstacles to achieve their potential because of their gender. Talking about India, specially rural or slum women are powerless and voiceless; Such women are not participating in the developmental process they were pressurised together for centuries. To provide socio economic health and political empowerment, Sabal Foundation India has implemented a number of developmental initiatives for women empowerment.
Livelihood
Sabal Foundation India Livelihood program revolves around women and housewives, who are from poor and less privileged communities, with the goal of empowering them with the knowledge, services and technologies that will lead them to new opportunities in life.
Sabal Foundation India Livelihood campaigns implemented by Sabal Foundation India have a strategically approach promoting quality in health, education, skills training, capacity building and awareness among women and girls coming from marginalised communities. In our all sustainable livelihood campaigns we have one thing in common is to: improving the bargaining power of poor and marginalised communities, improving their knowledge, empowering them with services and technologies.
Sabal Foundation invests in building social capital, promoting collective power through self-help groups, supporting initiatives for the preservation of traditional art, and organising skill development training for youth and women. Foundation’s income generating activities specially for poor women have directly affected them financially.
Sabal Foundation works with Children’s , Young Peoples, women, housewives and women small farmers in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to improve sustainable wage employment, support agricultural practices, nutritional security and climate change. To bring security to the natural resource and rural basic needs, it is necessary to maintain resources for the future, promote individual and institutional capacities, and change vulnerability to risk in the areas of agriculture and livelihoods. Our work also focuses on building information on asset-base, knowledge, institutional rights and governance to improve climate resilience and nutritional security.
Bringing dreams within reach for children
The underprivileged children do not have access to required financial help and resources needed to live the life of their dreams. We help them with everything they’ll need to live their dreams.
